DETAILED INFORMATON ON CURRENT OPENINGS
ARTS & HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION (1 opening)
The Arts and Historic Preservation Committee is a volunteer committee comprised of seven (7) members appointed by the Mayor with professional training or experience in the disciplines of architecture, history, architectural history, urban planning, archaeology, engineering, law or other historic preservation related disciplines. The Purpose of the Committee is to advise and assist the Mayor and city council to develop, coordinate and promote the visual, performing and literary arts and heritage programs and policies of enjoyment, education, cultural enrichment and benefit of the citizens of Nampa.
The appointed member will serve a three (3) year term beginning January 1, 2022. The Arts and Historic Preservation Committee meets the second (2nd) Monday of every month from 4-5pm at the Nampa Development Services Center, unless announced otherwise.
BIKE AND PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (2 openings)
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is comprised of seven individuals whose purpose is to advise the city on matters regarding development of the bicycle and pedestrian facility network throughout Nampa. The appointed members will serve a three-year term beginning January 1, 2022. The Nampa Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meets the second Thursday of every month from 4-5 p.m. in Nampa City Council Chambers, unless announced otherwise.
BOARD OF APPRAISERS (1 opening)
The Board of Appraisers is comprised of three City of Nampa staff, as well as three (3) citizens at large. The Board of Appraisers recommend all rates, charges or fees made and established under authority of Nampa City Code 3-1-1 Board of Appraisers Duties. The board also conduct hearings and hear appeals from Nampa utility customers. The board decisions must be presented to Council for approval. The applicant must live within Nampa city limits as well as receive water, sewer and irrigation services. The board typically meets quarterly at Nampa Development Services Center, located at 500 12th Avenue South. The appointed member will serve a four-year term beginning January 15, 2022.
BUILDING AND SITE DESIGN STANDARDS COMMITTEE (2 openings)
The Building and Site Design Standards Committee is comprised of seven citizens-at-large, having background and interest in community design such as architects, engineers, planners, designers, developers, builders, business persons and landscape architects. The committee reviews projects forwarded by staff, requested by the applicant, greater than 5,000 square feet or complicated in nature. The committee reviews projects for compliance with design review standards from various code sections within Title 10.
Appointed members of the committee must have resided in the city for at least one year prior to the appointment and must remain a resident of the city or the impact area, as defined by the current comprehensive plan, during service on the committee. The board meets at 12:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at Nampa City Hall. The appointed members will serve a four-year term beginning January 1, 2022.
The Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee is comprised of six members. All members must reside within city limits. This committee makes recommendations to the mayor and city council regarding development impact fees, land use and capital improvements. At least one of these two openings must be filled by someone in the business of development, building or real estate industry. The committee meets annually as a minimum requirement, with additional meeting dates to be determined, to review proposed changes and updates to the development impact fees. The appointed members will serve a two-year term beginning January 7, 2022.
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION (3 openings)
Nampa Planning and Zoning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month unless otherwise rescheduled. Public hearings begin at 7:00 p.m., and the commission begins their meeting prior to public hearings as needed to go through business items. Two of these appointed members will serve a six-year term beginning January 1, 2022. One of the appointed members will fill a recently vacated position that expires on December 31, 2022.
Meets the 2nd Monday at Mission Aviation Fellowship at 5:30pm.
This committee shall be responsible for administering the provisions of the ALPS, Alcohol License Point System.

Meets the 2nd Thursday at 4:00pm at the Nampa City Hall - Council Chamber
