  1. Boys Coach Pitch Baseball

    Nampa Recreation Department T-ball, Baseball & Softball Sponsored by Pepsi This recreation program is designed to promote participation, development of fundamental skills and fun in a mildly-competitive environment. Practices and games will be held at Skyview Park. All players will receive a T-shirt, cap, certificate of participation and a medal. Players must meet the minimum age requirement on or before June 7, 2021. Programs begin with daily practices (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thur for T-ball) until the season starts. Once the season begins, games will be played 2-3 days a week, with no further practices scheduled. Volunteer coaches are always needed! Boys Coach Pitch Baseball Participants will learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and safe environment. Coaches will throw a modified overhand pitch to help players learn to hit a live ball Ages 7-8, 9-11 or 12-14 Practices: June 7-June 17 (Mon-Thurs) Games: June 21-July 15 $35 (Register by May 25 to receive a $5 discount)

Once the season begins, games will be played 2-3 days a week, with no further practices scheduled. Volunteer coaches are always needed! Coed Modified T-ball Children will learn basic baseball and softball skills such as throwing, catching and batting, in a fun and supportive environment. Coaches will have the option to pitch an underhand pitch to the players, use a tee, or a combination of the two. Ages 5-6 $35 (Register by May 25 to receive a $5 discount)

  5. Red Cross Lifeguard Training

    Red Cross Lifeguard Training This course is designed for experienced swimmers ages 15 and older that want to become Red Cross Lifeguards. Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications are awarded upon successful completion of the course. Course prerequisites are: 300 yard swim using front crawl and breaststroke, retrieval of a 10 pound brick from 7ft of water and two minutes of treading water with no hands. If you are unsure whether you can complete the prerequisites, sign up for a skills evaluation. Refund request must be made 4 business days before start of class.
