  1. City Council Candidate Forum (Idaho Press & Nampa Chamber)

    The Idaho Press and the Nampa Chamber of Commerce invite the public to attend the city council candidate forum this month in Nampa. The forum will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 23 at Nampa City Hall, 411 Third St. S. There are two contested city council races, with a total of five candidates: Sandi Levi, Jeff Cornilles, Michael Gable, Scott Glover, and Jacob Bower. Voters are invited to attend and hear from candidates on their top issues. No RSVP is necessary. The election is Tuesday, Nov. 5. Watch for the Idaho Press Election Guide later this month with candidate surveys and more details.     Engineering For Kids gives kids the opportunity to design, build, test, and refine their own creations ranging from the Aerospace Engineering field to Into to Robotics Programming. Kids will design air-powered rockets, assemble model blimps and work with VEX IQ robots to build and program their robot to perform simple movements. Ages 7-14 Instructors: Orlando Chavez and Leslie Buch

  2. Homeschool Swimming

    October 23, 2019, 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Nampa Recreation Center

    The Nampa Recreation Center is proud to offer a fun and energetic homeschool swimming P.E. program. Children of all swimming abilities will be able to participate in activities with other children of similar skills and ages in the swimming pool. On the first day children will be split up based on swimming ability and age. During the two-hour period each level group will receive a 30-minute group lesson from one of our nationally certified instructors, the rest is open recreational swimming time for the kids to interact, have fun and be active! Cost includes drop in recreation swimming during the 2-hour class period for children who are registered. Ages 5-17
