A large picnic shelter next to a modern playground is perhaps the first thing a visitor will notice about Liberty Park. The Park was constructed in 1995 after Mercy Hospital donated 18 acres of land to the City of Nampa for the purpose of building a community park. During the soccer season hundreds of Nampa children can be found playing soccer at Liberty Park in the evenings and weekends. In addition to soccer fields, the park offers one softball field which is located in the northwest corner of the park.
