The City of Nampa does have different parking zones for public parking in our Downtown Historic Business District. To see a map of the two-hour, four-hour and unregulated zones, please visit https://www.cityofnampa.us/parking. We also have parking spaces that are designated for "leased" parking customers only. Please pay careful attention to the signage and time limitations. Leased permit parking is reserved Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Free public parking after 5 p.m. and weekends.

You may submit a complaint online, through email to [email protected], in person at 401 3rd St South, Nampa, ID 83651, or by calling our office at 208-468-5473.
Please be prepared to provide the street address of the property you are complaining about and specifics regarding the complaint. While anonymous complaints are accepted, providing your name and contact information will allow the Code Officers to reach you in case there are additional questions regarding the complaint. Please be aware that there are several properties located within Nampa's boundaries that have not been annexed into the City, in which case the Code Compliance Division will advise you to contact Canyon County with your complaint.
Upon receipt of a complaint, a Code Enforcement Officer will visit the property to determine whether there is a violation of Nampa City Code. If so, the Code Enforcement Officer will contact the property owner regarding the violation and attempt to obtain voluntary compliance through communication and courtesy and followup notices. It is the City of Nampa's experience that this course of action is highly effective in obtaining compliance; however, when voluntary compliance does not occur and a violation persists, the City of Nampa Code Enforcement will mail and/or post a notice ordering the property owner to abate the violation within a specified time period. Absent a timely response to this notice, Code Enforcement may then proceed to abate the violation, assess the costs against the property owner by tax lien, and/or may issue a uniform citation and forward the case for civil or criminal prosecution.
Responsible parties must be provided notice that there is a problem or a violation that exists on their property. They will be provided with a reasonable time period in which to correct the violation(s). In some instances, the time frames are based on due process statutes. Please know complaints and concerns are important and will be handled in the most expeditious and appropriate manner.
No. If someone in the subdivision is violating a provision of the Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions, commonly referred to as CC&R’s, it is the responsibility of the association to initiate legal enforcement action. The only regulations the City of Nampa's Code Compliance Division can enforce are federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
The City of Nampa may address weeds when they create a “public nuisance,” defined by Nampa City Code as weeds or grass taller than eight inches (8”) and/or weeds which, by reason of their size, manner of growth or location may constitute a fire hazard to any building, improvements, crops or other property or a vision obstruction for traffic. Noxious weeds are a violation regardless of their height and must be eradicated.

Abandoned or unlicensed vehicles located on private property are handled by the City of Nampa's Code Compliance Division. Abandoned or unlicensed vehicles located on the street are handled by the Nampa Police Department and should be reported by calling 208-465-2257.
Property owners are responsible for the maintenance of all adjacent rights-of-was, to include; sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Maintenance means not only the removal of all weeds, debris, obstructions, and snow, but also for the replacement or repair of any damaged sidewalks, curbs and gutters. A Local Improvement District (LID) is a form of financing through the city that provides property owners an economical way to pay the hookup or construction costs of upgrading various utilities and/or infrastructure. The utilities and/or infrastructure may include pressurized irrigation, sewer, domestic water, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters. Payments are made through property assessments with a long-term payment plan and relatively low-interest rates. Yes. The Nampa City Code establishes that property owners and/or tenants are responsible for compliance with all City of Nampa codes.
You may pay by mail or in person at 401 3rd St South, Nampa, ID 83651. Please make sure you include your payment, along with your citation number. A drop box is located outside our main doors if you are paying after business hours.
In order to contest a parking ticket, you must be the registered owner of the vehicle. Bring your ticket and registration to our Code Compliance office at 401 3rd St South Nampa, ID 83651. We will issue you a uniform traffic citation to initiate the paperwork to appear in court. You will then be scheduled to appear before the Clerk of the Magistrate's Court of the District Court of Canyon County, located at 120 9th Avenue South, to plead "not guilty". You will then be given a court date to see a judge. If the judge finds against you, Canyon County Court fees will be added to the original price of the citation.
