The City of Nampa and the Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) invite community members to an online open house anytime between March 12 – 19, 2021 to review potential improvements to Franklin Boulevard south of I-84 and provide feedback.
There are a variety of options for improving safety and mobility in the area between I-84 and East Plaza Loop. Options include a range of improvements, such as increasing the distance between intersections and increasing the turning radius for large trucks.
“Franklin Boulevard is a critical freight corridor for the Treasure Valley, but growth in the area has resulted in traffic congestion and delays for freight,” said City of Nampa Senior Transportation Planner Clair Bowman. “Being proactive in the future design of this corridor is crucial to the viability and economic development of the city.”
The community is invited to review displays and maps online at cityofnampa.us/1391/Franklin-Boulevard-Mobility-Project and are encouraged to provide input through the survey link found on the website by March 19. Comments can also be emailed to mccreet@cityofnampa.us or by calling 208-565-5256.
