On Sunday October 18th of 2020 at approximately 6:24 p.m. Officers responded to a residence in the 2000 block of Railroad St, in Nampa, in reference to a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an initial investigation.
Initial information indicated the incident took place inside the residence resulting in shots being fired, striking a 38-year-old male identified as Jonathan Dallas. Through the investigation, Officers determined there was an altercation inside the residence between two brothers, which ultimately led to the shooting of the male subject.
An adult male, Jeremiah Nupen, 33-year-old Nampa resident, was on scene when Officers arrived. After questioning witnesses and the parties involved, Nupen was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree 18-4003(g) and taken to the Canyon County Jail and booked in on the above charge.
This was an isolated incident and there are no further details at this time.
18-4004. Punishment for murder. (Idaho Statutes) Every person guilty of murder of the second degree is punishable by imprisonment not less than ten (10) years and the imprisonment may extend to life.
