[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police Detectives arrest Nampa man on Domestic Violence charges

On Thursday, June 4th, 2020 at approximately 0055 hours, Nampa Police received a report of a domestic violence incident that occurred at a residence on Zion Park Dr. The victim reported to police that during the incident, she had been threatened with a gun. Officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, James W. Furrer, a 32-year-old Nampa resident, however he would not communicate with police.


Since it was unclear why Furrer wouldn’t communicate with officers and due to the severity of the crime, the Nampa Police Tactical Response Team was called in. After repeated attempts to contact Furrer, he finally exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

 

Detectives responded to assist with the investigation. Upon completion of their investigation, Furrer was charged with 

 

 

18-918 Felony Domestic Battery

18-923 Felony Attempted strangulation

18-905 Felony Aggravated assault

18-907 Felony Aggravated Battery
