The City of Nampa will begin improvements to the Holly Street / Colorado Avenue intersection on Monday, June 1, 2020. Pedestrian infrastructure improvements will take place on Colorado Avenue, between 12th Avenue and Amity Avenue. These improvements will increase safety to the surrounding community and improve capacity through the intersection of Holly Street and Colorado Avenue.

Major construction activities include:

  • Signalization of the Holly Street and Colorado Avenue intersection
  • Installation of fiber optics to increase connectivity to adjacent intersections
  • Pedestrian facility upgrades
  • New thermoplastic pavement markings

During Phase 1 of the project, drivers can expect the Holly/Colorado intersection to be reduced to one lane in all directions and will be controlled by temporary stop signs.

Phase 2 of the project is anticipated to begin mid-summer and is scheduled to be completed by September 2020. Drivers can expect continued lane restrictions, one lane in each direction, reduced speeds, and periodic flagger control. Updated information regarding construction and detours will be provided at cityofnampa.us/projects, Nextdoor and on the City of Nampa social media channels.

Residents are encouraged to contact the City of Nampa at projects@cityofnampa.us or (208) 565-5262 with questions regarding construction.
