On Saturday, March 14, 2015 the Nampa Public Library opened its doors to the public for the first time in its beautiful new building, and welcomed over 8,000 people into the community facility. Five years later, on March 14, 2020, we will be celebrating and reflecting on the positive impact the new facility has made in our community.In the last five years, the library has hosted over 20,500 outside events and meetings and has welcomed over 1,628,993 people through its doors.

The Nampa Library Bookmobile Campaign will be launched at this event. This joint effort between the Nampa Public Library Foundation, the Board of Trustees, and library staff will raise private donations to purchase Nampa’s first bookmobile. The bookmobile will bring literacy and learning to every section of the city with stops at schools, parks, apartment complexes, shopping centers, the Nampa Senior Center, retirement homes and community events.
ALSO ANNOUNCED! The Nampa Library Foundation will also announce the chosen artist whose work will be displayed in the Local History Area on the third floor.
