The Nampa Family Justice Center (NFJC) invites the community to attend a community open house Fri., October 4, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at their offices located at 1305 3rd Street South in Nampa. The open house is an opportunity for the community to learn about resources available through a brief presentation (identical presentations at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.) and facility tour.
The Nampa Family Justice Center is also hosting a free two-day conference called Transforming Communities Through Awareness, Knowledge and Resources October 17-18 at the Nampa Civic Center (311 3rd St. S.). The conference runs 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. each day and includes a variety of topics on the subject of abuse, presented by experts in their field. The effects that abusive domestic relationships, elder abuse, sexual assaults, sex trafficking, stalking and child abuse have on a community will also be discussed. The conference goal is to impart knowledge and understanding to enhance community awareness and provide tangible ways to serve victims in these circumstances.
