To commemorate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, David Leroy will generously share portions of his Lincoln memorabilia with the Nampa Public Library throughout the month of February. These memorabilia will be displayed in the Local History section on the third floor of the Library.
A special presentation will be made Thursday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. by Lincoln expert, former Idaho Attorney General & former Lt. Governor David Leroy, accompanied by Former Judge, Tim Hansen. Leroy will present insight into the connections our 16th U.S. President had with the Idaho Territory. Leroy and Hansen will also present a never-before-seen document signed by Lincoln. The Library is delighted to host an excellent opportunity for students and adults to learn more about both United States and Idaho history.
David Leroy is an Idaho Humanities Speakers Bureau scholar. This presentation is funded by the Idaho Humanities Council, a nonprofit organization that serves as the state-based affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
