On December 19, 2018, at 11:41 a.m., Nampa Police Officers responded to the canal at the north end of Kohlerlawn Cemetery, on 6th Street North, reference a report of a body that was found in that vicinity.  Officers located a body alongside the canal in a possible sinkhole. Evidence technicians and detectives processed the scene as a homicide.

The deceased individual has been identified as Timothy Rose, a 52-year-old Nampa resident, who had been reported missing earlier this month.

An autopsy was performed this morning at the Canyon County Coroner’s Office. The official cause of death was not able to be determined and will not be finalized until toxicology results are received. It can take several weeks to receive lab results. However, the death does not currently appear to be suspicious. The time of death was also unable to be determined.

The case is still under investigation by Nampa Police detectives.
