Greenhurst Road will be closed to traffic beginning Monday, June 25

Greenhurst Road between Southside Boulevard and Marcum Way will be closed beginning next week as the city of Nampa rebuilds the dangerously deteriorated Elijah Drain culvert under the roadway. Motorists will be detoured to Amity Road and only residents and local traffic will have access (see attached map). The road closure is scheduled to last through October.

The project area is considered a high accident corridor and the improvements are essential to improving Nampa’s roadway system. The culvert is structurally deficient and is affecting the roadway surface. The project will enhance safety for both drivers and pedestrians by adding sidewalks, widening shoulders and adding a two-way left turn lane.

The contractor for the $1.15 million project is Knife River.

The city will continue to provide updates about the project at http://cityofnampa.us/projects. If you have questions, please call 208-465-2221 or email projects@cityofnampa.us.
