This summer, everyone is encouraged to read for the fun of it with the Nampa Public Library. Children, teens and adults are invited to celebrate the library’s 2018 summer reading program, “Libraries Rock!”
Nampa Public Library will host the 16th Annual Summer Reading Kick-Off on Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Registered youth will work their way through three levels of reading, collecting prizes at the library once they finish each level of reading. Youth do not need library cards in order to participate in this free summer reading program. There is also an adult summer reading program and prizes for those 18 and older who wish to participate.
The kick-off will feature many family-friendly local businesses and non-profit organizations including Costco, Lakeshore Learning Center, Texas Roadhouse and Salvation Army. All ages are welcome to attend the “carnival-like” kick-off celebration.
All programs at the library are free and open to the public. No library card or registration is required. For additional information, contact Joyce Gergen at 208-468-5859 or visit our events calendar at www.nampalibrary.org/calendar.
