[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police Department makes arrest in two robberies.

On May 1, 2018, Nampa Police were advised of two separate armed robberies that occurred at Los Betos restaurant in the 16000 block of Idaho Center Boulevard and Port of Subs restaurant in the 5800 block of East Franklin Road.

During the course of the investigation, Nampa Police Property Crimes Detectives spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle in a location near the area of the robberies. After making contact with the owners of the van which led them to a residence, a suspect in the robberies was arrested.

23-year-old Austin Jeffery Durham of Nampa was charged with two counts of armed robbery and was booked into the Canyon County Jail on those charges.

Idaho Code 18-6503 states that armed robbery is punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for not less than five (5) years and the imprisonment may be extended to life.
