[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police Officer faces charges brought by Ada County Sheriff’s Department.

The Nampa Police Department Administration was made aware of a criminal case against a police officer of this department being investigated by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Nampa Police has cooperated fully with the Ada County Sheriff’s Office in their investigation into this matter. All inquiries concerning this case should be forwarded to the Ada County Sheriff’s Public Information Officer.

The Nampa Police Department holds employees to a high standard of personal conduct both on and off duty. The Nampa Police Department does not tolerate conduct unbecoming an officer or violations of the Idaho Peace Officers Code of Ethics.

The suspected employee has been placed on administrative leave, with pay, pending the outcome of an internal investigation by the Nampa Police Department, Office of Professional Standards. No information from the internal investigation, nor information as to discipline, will be available to the public. Internal matters are protected information and not subject to the public records release laws. The Nampa Police Department will update the media if there is a change in employment status of the suspected employee.
