[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police investigating a shooting outside of a residence.

On March 21, 2018, at 2:52 p.m., the Nampa Police Department received a report of a shooting in the 300 block of 1st Street North. Officers responded and located an adult female victim, 40-years-old, with a single gunshot wound to the leg. The shooting took place in a vehicle outside of the residence. The victim was transported to a local hospital but the injury does not appear to be life threatening.

An adult male, Fidel B. Molina, 26-years-old, had left the scene and was located by officers a short distance away.  After questioning witnesses and the parties involved, Molina, a Meridian resident, was charged with a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.  Molina will be taken to the Canyon County Jail.

This is an on-going investigation. There are no further details at this time.
