FORD IDAHO CENTER NAMED SPECTRA VENUE MANAGEMENT ‘VENUE OF THE YEAR’
NAMPA, ID – Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, the providers of Venue Management service at the Ford Idaho Center, recently announced the Ford Idaho Center as the 2017 ‘Venue of the Year’ during their annual awards ceremony at the company’s General Manager Conference in Orlando, Florida. Spectra manages over 150 venues across North America. Tim Savona, Spectra’s General Manager at the Ford Idaho Center, was named a finalist for ‘GM of the Year’ for the second straight year. The venue has increased the number of events held annually and enhanced relationships throughout the community; not only reducing the annual operating budget deficit by $853,841 in two years but also implementing a number of improvements and upgrades in and around the facility.
‘’This award is a great honor and well earned by our entire team here,” said Spectra’s Tim Savona, General Manager of the Ford Idaho Center. “We have a great client base who entrusts our staff in hosting their event(s) year in and year out; this is a team effort through and through, a special thanks to all of them.”
Currently in the midst of a 60 day stretch that will host events on 45 of those days and welcome over 85,000 guests, 2018 doesn’t appear to be showing any signs of slowing down. To date the facility already has 13 events currently on sale including a number of big name concerts. Between its three buildings (Arena, Amphitheater, and Horse Park) there are already events scheduled in at least one of them on 48 out of 52 weekends. Last year the facility hosted events on 49 out of 52 weekends, and many more during week days.
“Being a venue that welcomes and hosts a wide variety of events for people in Nampa and throughout the Treasure Valley to enjoy is what we’re most proud of,” stated Savona. “Every day provides a unique opportunity to host something different and welcome new faces through our doors.”
The facility hosts around 100 unique events annually with over 70% of them costing $10 or less to attend. “We genuinely feel we offer something for everyone, and our team treats all events as ‘priority one’, trying each year to outdo the prior year’s event. That is what this (award) is all about.”
