City of Nampa invites community to give feedback at transportation workshop
NAMPA – The City of Nampa invites members of the community to give input about future transportation projects at an afternoon workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 27. The workshop will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Nampa Civic Center (311 3rd St. S., Nampa).
The workshop is part of a project to update Nampa’s 30-year master transportation plan. The plan includes information about transportation goals, existing and future roadway needs, bicycle/pedestrian infrastructure and high-priority projects. When complete, it will guide Nampa city staff, city council and regional transportation agencies when choosing which projects should receive funding each year.
“We had an excellent turnout at the first workshop in June,” said Senior Transportation Planner Clair Bowman. “The quality of community input was tremendously helpful in determining priorities for the city’s transportation system.”
During the second workshop, participants will have the opportunity to review the city’s analysis of future growth, traffic and funding. City staff will present a recommended list of improvements and gather input.
More information about the Nampa Transportation Master Plan is available at http://www.cityofnampa.us/transportationmaster. Those who have questions about the planning process are encouraged to contact Clair Bowman, Senior Transportation Planner, at (208) 468-5474 or [email protected]
