On Aug. 1, 2017, Nampa Police detectives were conducting an investigation in Ada County. At approximately 1:54 p.m., detectives recognized a person of interest in their case as a dark blue 2006 BMW passenger vehicle passed them. Detectives followed the vehicle to the area of Franklin Road and N. McDermott Road where they attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The driver failed to yield and continued to drive while still observing all the rules of the road. The driver entered a residential area south of Cherry Lane off of N. Ten Mile Road where the pursuit was discontinued. Detectives lost sight of the vehicle but later found it on W. Pine Avenue, east of N. Blackcat Road, at the dead end. The driver had fled on foot leaving behind two passengers.

The two passengers were detained for questioning, and released, and an area ground search was conducted for the driver. Nampa Police also deployed an unmanned aerial system to assist in the search.  Although the driver was never located, he was identified as Brandon K. Stephenson, 25, of Nampa.

Stephenson has a $50,000 warrant for his arrest out of Elmore County for failure to appear.

If anyone has any information on the location of Brandon Stephenson, please contact Nampa Police Department at 465-2257. Anonymous information can be given by contacting Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS or on-line at 343COPS.com.
