[ARCHIVED] Police Investigate Body Found in Mason Creek

Police investigate body found


Today at 11:16 a.m. the Nampa Police Department was notified by a city worker about a body that was found in Mason Creek.  This occurred in the 1000 block of 3rd Ave. N where Mason Creek intersects 3rd Ave.   Police are working to identify this individual.  The body was located in a portion of the creek where there is a debris trap.

“We are investigating the possibility that this is related to an ongoing investigation,”
Lt. Eric Skoglund said.  “The Nampa Police Department is working with the Canyon County Coroner’s Office to identify this individual, obtain a cause of death and determine if the death is the result of a crime.”

This investigation is ongoing with further information to be released at a later time.
