[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police investigating attempted bank robbery

On Dec.16 at 3:27 p.m., Nampa Police responded to an attempted bank robbery. This occurred at the Bank of the Cascades in the 500 block of 12th Avenue South in Nampa.

 

A male came into the bank and approached the teller counter. He stated to a teller that it was a robbery and demanded money. The suspect did not display a weapon nor did he state he had one. He repeated what he had said and then quickly left the bank on foot. He fled south from the bank and then went west across 12th Ave S. and that was his last known location.

 

The suspect is described as a male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, 175-180 lbs and approximately 6 ft. tall. He has light complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a black leather jacket with a white or yellow foodie sweatshirt underneath, a red beanie cap, dark pants and black tennis shoes.

 

Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call Nampa Police at 465-2257 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
