[ARCHIVED] Nampa Police release the name of the victim of the car fire and suspicious death, continue to follow

The victim of the car fire from May 1, 2016, at E. Victory and Sugar Ave., has been identified by the Nampa Police Department, but police have not determined details leading up to his death. He is identified as Videll N. Hanks, a 29-year-old Nampa resident.

“This is a tragic event. The Nampa Police Department appreciates all of the support and help from the public to aid us in finding out the facts of this case,” Detective Sergeant Don Peck said. “We want to bring closure for the family of Mr. Hanks.”

The Nampa Police detectives continue to follow up on leads in this case. An autopsy was performed Monday, though the results of the autopsy are not yet known. Anyone with information about this case should contact the Nampa Police Department at 465-2257 or Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
