On January 21, 2024, the Nampa Police Department completed a press release reporting a 30-year-old woman was struck and killed by a passing vehicle at approximately 12:48 a.m. in the 300 block of 2nd Street S. The investigation into this incident has been ongoing since the initial report and this is still an active investigation.
With the help of community members and Nampa PD’s Real Time Crime Center, investigators have been able to confirm the victim was in the roadway when she was struck by two vehicles. Both drivers have been identified and are cooperating with the investigation. There are no longer any outstanding vehicles that law enforcement is attempting to locate related to this crash.
The deceased victim has been identified as 30-year-old Tarissa Marie Piper, of Nampa.

I want to share my appreciation for the diligent work of the Nampa Police investigators and the staff in our Real Time Crime Center,” said Chief Joe Huff. “The help of our community also played a key role in this ongoing investigation.
