Suspect Identified and Arrested in Felony Hit and Run Crash from August 18, 2023

Press Release Gutierrez hit and run arrest N23-47323

On December 5, 2023, Aldo Miguel Gutierrez, 19 years old, of Boise, turned himself in at the Ada County Jail on charges stemming from an injury hit and run crash that occurred in the 16000 block of N. Franklin Blvd. on August 18, 2023.

After an extensive investigation, Gutierrez was identified as a person of interest. Further into the investigation, Nampa Police Persons Crimes Detectives secured a warrant for Gutierrez, charging him with aggravated battery, I18-907(1); aggravated DUI, I18-8006; leaving the scene of an injury accident, I18-8007 and use of a deadly weapon (the car) during a felony. The charges from this warrant are the result of the August hit and run crash that left the adult victim with life altering injuries.

“I am incredibly proud of the hard work and long hours the Nampa Police detectives put into this terrible crime,” said Chief Joe Huff. “Their relentless work led them to a suspect and an eventual arrest. It is my hope that the victim and his family have some peace, knowing the suspect has been officially charged.”
