Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling is seeking applications to fill upcoming vacancies on various boards or commissions within the City of Nampa. All positions below must be appointed by Mayor Kling and confirmed by the Nampa City Council before beginning their term of service.
Airport Commission: There is one opening which would serve a five-year term beginning January 1, 2024. Applicants must reside within Nampa city limits. The Airport Commission makes recommendations to the mayor and city council concerning the operation and maintenance of the municipal airport and its real and personal property belonging to the city.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee: There are two openings which would serve three-year terms beginning January 1, 2024. Applicants must reside within Nampa city limits. The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the mayor and city council concerning bicycle and pedestrian facility development.
Board of Trustees of the Nampa Public Library: There is one opening which would serve a five-year term beginning January 1, 2024. Applicants must reside within Nampa city limits. The Board of Trustees of the Nampa Public Library is a five-member board responsible for governing the Nampa Public Library.
Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee: There is one opening which would serve a four-year term beginning January 7, 2024. Applicants must reside within Nampa city limits and the position must be filled by someone not in the business of development, building or real estate industry. The Development Impact Fee Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the mayor and city council regarding development impact fees, land use and capital improvements. The committee meets annually as a minimum requirement, with additional meeting dates to be determined, to review proposed changes and updates to the development impact fees.
Venue Management Committee: There are two openings which would serve five-year terms beginning January 7, 2024. The Venue Management Committee advises the mayor and city council in directing and managing the affairs of the Ford Idaho Center and the Nampa Civic Center and advise as to the potential benefits or drawbacks of the formation of any future auditorium district to be established or proposed either wholly or partially within the city limits of the City of Nampa.
