Nampa Man Shot, Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Injuries, Suspect in Custody

On September 25, 2023, at approximately 2:14 p.m. Nampa Dispatch received a call from a local area hospital reporting an adult male had arrived at their facility and was being treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

 

Officers responded to the hospital and contacted the 46-year-old Nampa man, and with the help of Nampa Police Detectives, they were able to determine the shooting took place near the 1200 block of 13th Ave S. in Nampa.

 

When the victim was released from the hospital, he was subsequently arrested on related drug trafficking and weapons charges. 

 

During the investigation, detectives were able to identify the shooting suspect as Michael Pearl, 22-years-old, from Meridian. Pearl was located and arrested without incident in Ada County the following day. He has been charged with three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, exhibition or use of a deadly weapon, probation violation and aggravated battery with a gang enhancement. 

 

Nampa Police believes the incident is gang related. The investigation is on-going.
