The City of Nampa’s Environmental Resources Division invites the community to participate in the 12th Annual Stormwater Clean-up Day on Saturday, September 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Volunteers will meet at Lakeview Park, located at 1304 7th St N, at 9 a.m. for pastries and coffee, and receive a brief lesson on ways to keep our waterways clean before heading out to clean storm drains which lead to our local waterways. The morning will include picking up litter in surrounding neighborhoods and local waterways and marking storm drains with decals to promote keeping our storm drains clean of debris. The day will end with a lunch donated by Walmart.
The City of Nampa encourages volunteers and teams of all ages. All materials needed for the cleanup will be provided by the City of Nampa’s Environmental Resources Division.
