Injury Screening
-Provided by St. Alphonsus Physical Therapy
Stop by the weight room desk to arrange a 15-minute injury assessment or sign up for one of our ongoing times. Screenings will include recommendations for injury treatment and prevention.

Splash N’ Dash
We do the splashing… parents do the dashing! Parents, enjoy a Friday evening with each other while we actively entertain your children in the pools! For 3 hours our certified lifeguards and lesson staff will be in the water actively supervising, playing water games and having a blast swimming around. With those 3 hours enjoy dinner and a movie, get things caught up around the house, or just enjoy a relaxing night. Pre-registration is required.

Traditions Tang Soo Do
This class teaches self-confidence, builds self-esteem, and improves balance, while establishing discipline and courtesy towards others. Participants will learn age-appropriate self-defense and weapons training. These classes are non-violent; sparring is optional.
Clothing and Equipment
Students should wear loose fitting clothing, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. No jewelry or watches during class. A mouth guard and a groin protector cup (males) are recommended.

Tai Chi Classes
The beginning class covers the fundamentals of Tai Chi including basic movements, breathing, meditation, warm-up form and an introduction on the Yang Style Short form. The intermediate class continues with movements, breathing, meditation, the Yang Short form, Yang Long form, and an introduction to push hands (Tai Chi sparring).

Women’s Self-Defense & Fitness
This class is designed for women of all ages, sizes, and athletic abilities. The class covers situational awareness, releases, proper falling and recovery techniques, effective punches, strikes, kicks, improved fitness, and basic martial arts etiquette. Students should wear loose fitting clothing, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt. It is recommended that an adult accompanies youth 12-17 years.

Lawson’s Heritage Museum
Join us to visit one of the area’s best-kept secret. An incredible collection of Idaho historical artifacts, including a western frontier town replica, are on site. Trip includes transportation, lunch, and admission to the museum.

Nampa Youth Volleyball League
Sponsored by the Nampa Recreation Department and Toyota. This program will provide an opportunity for girls in the 4th-6th grade to learn basic volleyball skills and teamwork in a recreational environment. Children register on a team coached by a parent volunteer. Each week, teams will practice Monday-Wednesday. Matches are played on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm or 7:30pm.

Youth Strength Training Course
By successfully completing this 4-day course, youth ages 13 and 14 years will be granted use of the weight room including the free weights (some restrictions will apply). This course will focus on safe, productive training and practical experience. Participants are required to attend the entire class and pass both a written and practical exam. Classes require preregistration at the Program Desk.

This six-week course will cover a variety of equipment and free weights helping you to feel more comfortable in the weight room. Pickleball Lessons
Pickleball is a combination of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. It is played on a badminton size court using a whiffle ball and composite paddle. It is easy for beginners to learn and can develop into competitive play for experienced players. Gym shoes required. Class is for active older adults.

American Red Cross Lifeguarding
This course is designed for experienced swimmers ages 15 and older that want to become Red Cross Lifeguards. Advanced skills are taught and information about lifesaving techniques will be presented. Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid certifications are awarded upon successful completion of the course. Course prerequisite day: Students must complete the pre-requisite swim of a 300-yard swim using front crawl and/or breaststroke, retrieval of a 10-pound brick from 7ft of water and two minutes of treading water with no hands. You will then be given information about the online component which must be completed prior to the first full day of class. If you are unsure whether you can complete the prerequisites, sign up for a skills evaluation. Refund request must be made 4 business days before start of class.

Eagle Cap Excursion Train – Autumn Equinox
We are heading to Elgin to the Historic Eagle Cap Excursion Train for a ride to enjoy the fall foliage. The train follows the shore of the Grande Ronde River to Rondowa, and up the Wallowa River. A box lunch will be served along the way.

Walk About Boise
Preservation Idaho offers historic walking tours focusing on the architecture and history that made Boise the city it is today. Join us for this 1.5-hour tour. Must be able to walk/stand for approximately two hours. We will eat lunch in Boise before heading back to Nampa.

Mario Kart/Super Smash Ultimate Tournaments
Join us for one of our Mario Kart Deluxe 8 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate Nintendo Switch tournament series. Ages 10 and up are welcome. Although a competition in nature, this tournament series is meant to be fun for all ages and will no doubt have many levels of skill present. Tournaments will be double elimination with pool play to determine seeding. Mario Kart will be 150 cc, Smart Steering and Auto Acceleration will be turned off, and no CPU’s. Super Smash Bros Ultimate will have a 7-minute time limit with 3 stocks per game. Contact Diego Estrada at 208-468-5858 for additional rules and stages.
