Nampa Mayor Debbie Kling is seeking applications to fill three new board positions with the Board of Appraisers following citizen and staff recommendations to move three positions currently occupied by city staff to full citizen representation on the board.
The Board of Appraisers recommends rates, charges, or fees made and established under authority of Nampa Code Title 3, Chapter 1 and Title 8, Chapters 1 and 2. These respective sections of city code primarily deal with rates for water, irrigation, and sewer services. The board also conducts hearings and hears appeals related to services, regulations, and fees associated within these respective codes. The board of appraisers' decisions must be presented to council for approval.
Applicants must be a Nampa resident within city limits. The term for this board is typically four years in length; however, in order to maintain staggering terms, one appointment will be for two years, one for three years, and one for four years. At the conclusion of the initial term, they will return to four year terms.
DEADLINE: All applications are currently being accepted through Monday, May 22, 2023 at 8 a.m.
