The City of Nampa is excited to announce an update to our public meeting system which includes improvements to both external and internal functions. The public meeting system houses the agendas and minutes for Nampa City Council meetings as well as other city-related boards and commissions.
City Clerk Char Tim said, “The transition from a manual agenda management process to the new system will improve the efficiency and transparency for the city’s public meetings. It will provide the public with an all-inclusive web portal that contains upcoming and past public meeting details and documents. Additionally, we will have the ability to time-stamp videos for select public meetings so the public can easily locate specific areas in a meeting video.”
The updated system provides additional features for the public including the ability to easily sign up to speak or comment for city council or planning and zoning meetings on their home computer, tablet or mobile device. Interested parties will still be able to sign up to speak when available at the meeting location.
The new system can be found at https://www.cityofnampa.us/1612/Public-Meetings and the public’s patience is appreciated as we officially launch it for the April 17 council meeting.
As part of the transition, the City of Nampa has set up a dedicated YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@cityofnampapublicmeetings), which typically includes closed captioning for viewers. Meetings previously streamed using LiveStream have been moved to the YouTube channel.
