On March 28, 2023, at 8:43 p.m., Nampa Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the 2100 block of W. Grouse Street. Nampa Police Officers and EMS were dispatched to the scene. When first responders arrived at the residence, an adult female was located with several stab wounds to her body. Life saving measures were administered, however, the victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The suspect, Jesus R. Urrutia, 39-years-old, of Nampa, who was known to the victim, was identified, and area law enforcement agencies were alerted to attempt to locate him overnight.
This morning at 7:03 a.m., Nampa Dispatch received a call from the Ada County Sheriff’s Dispatch reporting a possible location of Urrutia. Upon the arrival of ACSO Deputies, Urrutia was located in a vehicle at a convenience store, deceased. According to a release from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Urrutia was the victim of a fatal stab wound. Ada County Sheriff’s Office also reported Raul Alexander Cuevas, 31-years-old, of Nampa, was arrested for first degree murder.
The victim of the Nampa homicide, who is the mother of the Ada County homicide suspect that is in custody, has been identified as Michelle E. Luna, 52 years-old, of Nampa.
