The City of Nampa invites the community to give input on concepts developed to improve the Midland Boulevard Corridor from Caldwell Boulevard to Greenhurst Road. There are two ways to learn more and provide feedback:
• Attend an in-person open house on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (8 S. Midland Boulevard, Nampa, ID 83651)
• Review options virtually and complete an online survey currently open through Sunday, November 27, 2022.
The open house is a follow up to feedback received from the public in July of 2022 on the current road conditions and future needs of the corridor. The two concepts presented were created using public feedback from the first survey for consideration below:
• Concept A: Midland Boulevard is widened to five lanes all the way south to Greenhurst Road. Side paths are provided on both sides of the road for people walking and biking.
• Concept B: Midland Boulevard remains five lanes wide from Caldwell Boulevard to Orchard Avenue. South of Orchard Avenue to Greenhurst Road, it is three lanes wide. Similar to Concept A, side paths are provided on both sides of the road for people walking and biking.
The feedback from the open house and the online survey will be used to determine preferred concepts for adoption which are expected to occur next spring. It’s important to note that this is a planning study and funding for the final preferred alternative has yet to be identified.
The City of Nampa is committed to improving movement in and through our community and the more feedback we receive, the better we can serve our community.
