Nampa’s Parks and Recreation is creating a 20-year master plan and invites the community to guide future decisions by participating in a survey. Community input is an important part of this process to better understand our resident’s use of programs and facilities.
A random sampling of residents have been invited to take a survey. A total of approximately 7,000 households in the city have been mailed a postcard invitation and responses from these residents will comprise the statistically valid sample. Residents who received a postcard in the mail are encouraged to take the survey online within 10 days. Alternatively, if a paper copy is preferred or help is needed to complete the survey, please bring your postcard to the Harward Recreation Center at 131 Constitution Way for assistance.
An open-link survey, which will be published on social media in a few weeks, will give all residents the opportunity to provide additional feedback and their responses will be included in the final analysis.
In August, interested Nampa residents were invited to participate in focus groups. The direct mailing and online survey are the next parts of the public involvement process The results of this survey will create a priority blueprint for where we can improve, how to grow responsibly, and what programs and recreational opportunities our community would like to see in our city parks.
This project is led by BerryDunn with survey and data work done by RRC Associates. For questions, please contact Nampa Parks & Recreation at 208-468-5858.
