The City of Nampa invites the community to give input on the current road conditions and future needs of the Midland Boulevard Corridor from Caldwell Boulevard to Greenhurst Road by completing a survey which is open through Sunday, August 7, 2022.
In 2019, the City of Nampa hosted an open house regarding restriping the Midland Corridor and, after public feedback, the City’s Planning and Zoning and Public Works Departments decided to do a broader study of the Midland Corridor to identify current and future improvements for all roadway users.
The City of Nampa is in the process of developing alternative concept designs for the Midland Corridor and will be incorporating the community’s feedback from the survey. The project will consider walking and biking improvements, enhancing crossings, reducing the potential for traffic-related crashes, increasing intersection capacity, and potential land-use and zoning-related changes. Once feedback is received, draft concepts and will be presented for public feedback in the late fall. That feedback will then be used to determine preferred concepts for adoption, expected to occur next spring.
Mayor Debbie Kling said, “In the latest community survey, respondents identified street maintenance as their top funding priority and, with that in mind, the city is committed to continued street improvements for our community. The more survey responses we receive on the Midland Boulevard Corridor, the better we can serve our community.”
