Nampa is ideally located to reach the large markets of the West. From the Pacific Northwest to Southern California and throughout the Rocky Mountain region, Nampa is accessible by overnight truck delivery. Strategically located along Interstate 84, U.S. Highways 20, 26, 30, and 95, the area boasts excellent transportation corridors in all four directions.
Nampa is also well-positioned within the Boise-Nampa metro area. Located at the heart of the valley, the amenities of neighboring communities are only minutes away.
Highway System
I-84 is the major interstate serving the Boise-Nampa Metropolitan area, with I-84 branching toward the northeast into downtown Boise. Federal highways 20, 26 and 30, and state highways 21, 44 and 55, also serve the region.
Air Service
Nampa Municipal Airport is a city-owned public airport located in Nampa. It is a general aviation airport used for private, emergency, military and industrial aviation and is home to the Warhawk Air Museum. Mission Aviation Fellowship is also headquartered at the Nampa Airport.
Boise Airport (BOI) is located approximately 20 miles from Nampa and sees more than 3 million travelers each year. The airport is served by 6 major airlines which offer non-stop flights to 17 major cities, including Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Oakland, Phoenix, Portland, Reno, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle and Spokane.
Fedex and UPS both operate directly out of the Boise Airport offering fast shipping access, along with almost 50 motor freight trucking companies, 30 air freight and package express companies, and several air courier services.
Rail Service
Idaho Northern & Pacific Railroad (INPR) provides freight service over four former Union Pacific (UP) branch lines in Southwestern Idaho and Northeastern Oregon. INPR leases and operates from a connection with UP in Nampa to the Hillcrest switching station near the Boise Airport. Union Pacific has a major presence in Nampa, offering access to their national system.
The Oregon Division runs from a UP connection at LaGrande to Elgin, OR, and the Idaho Division runs from a UP connection at Payette to Cascade, ID.
