Office of Professional Standards

Members of the Nampa Police Department hold a unique status as public officers, and the security of the city and its citizens depends to a great extent upon the manner in which members of the department perform their manifold duties. The performance of such duties involves the members in all manner of contacts and relationships with the public. Out of such contacts and relationships questions may arise concerning the actions of the members, or citizens may simply wish to offer gratitude for the member’s actions. This web page may be used as a forum for either one.

If you wish to offer your gratitude, or recognition for the actions of a member of the Department, or if you wish to submit a complaint about the actions of a member, please use the appropriate forms below. When submitted, complaint forms will be routed to the Chief’s Office for proper assignment, and commendation forms will be routed to Captain Shankel. Please be sure to read and follow the instructions for the forms for proper processing by NPD.

Please allow several weeks for investigation of your complaint. You should automatically be notified of the resolution once the investigation is completed.
