Darl Bruner

Darl Bruner was elected to the Nampa City Council in November of 2015 and won re-election in 2019. 


He was born in Nampa and returned with his wife, Paula, and two children in 1994 to make Nampa their home. Darl has been employed at Northwest Nazarene University since his return and is currently serving as Alumni Relations Director. He started out his career path in juvenile corrections with Canyon County and spent 14 years opening and managing family buffet restaurants in the United States and Canada.

Darl has volunteered for several organizations during his time in Nampa: NAIA National Men's Basketball Tournament; Boy Scout Troop 112; Northwest Christian Credit Union; Healthy Nampa Healthy Youth Coalition. He currently is an active member of the Nampa Lions Club, the Concerned Citizens of Canyon County Coalition, and mentors a young man through the Mentoring Network.

Darl and Paula attend Grace Bible Church and are involved in community Bible studies and prayer groups.

Councilman Bruner serves on the Nampa Development Corporation's Board of Commissioners and the Wastewater Design Review Committee.
