Cross connections are defined as actual or potential connections between a potable water supply and a non-potable source. The connection could allow contaminants to enter the drinking water supply.
The purpose of the cross connection program is to protect the City water supply system from this potential source of pollution or contamination. The program requires water customers to adequately protect against cross connections by installing backflow prevention devices. View Nampa City Code Section 8 Chapter 5 for more details.
