Mayor's Golf Tournament/Scholarship

The Nampa Mayor’s Golf Tournament has raised over $215,000 for scholarships and youth golf programs during the 20 years it has been held.

The City of Nampa Mayor’s Golf Tournament was established to provide a fun event while giving an opportunity to give back to youth golfers in Nampa. Each year this event draws people from all over the Treasure Valley to play golf and give to a great cause. All proceeds benefit college scholarships for youth golfers in Nampa and junior golf at Centennial and Ridgecrest Golf Courses. To register or for more information call (208) 468-5858.

2022 Mayor's Golf Tournament Awards $18,000 in Youth Scholarships 

Six local students earn $3,000 scholarships from annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament

The Nampa Golf Commission awarded $18,000 in scholarships to six college-bound students thanks to several local sponsors, 33-hole sponsors and 33 teams participating in the 20th annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament. The event raises money for summer youth golf programs in Nampa, Mayor’s Teen Council and provides scholarships to high school senior golf students.  

The following high school seniors received $3,000 scholarships:

•          Camden Chandler, Skyview High School

•          Christian Collins, Skyview High School

•          Jayde Nielson, Columbia High School

•          Kaedence Jenning, Nampa High School

•          Sean Murphy, Skyview High School

•          Allison Shupert, Columbia High School

Major tournament sponsors were: CapEd Credit Union, ­­­­­Texas Roadhouse, Regence BlueShield of Idaho, Republic Services, TDS Fiber, Homes of Idaho, Ford Idaho Center and Nampa Civic Center.

Current members for the Nampa Golf Commission are Todd Durbin, June York, Steve Wilson, John Nielsen, Craig Stensgaard, Fred Sutton and Clint Beers.
