National Public Works Week // May 15-21, 2022

National Public Works Week is just around the corner! Through the week of May 15-21, 2022, we celebrate the men and women in our community who continually serve the City. This year’s theme is “Ready & Resilient” and really showcases the superheroes that lie within each and every public works professional. Always READY to serve their communities, and RESILIENT as ever in their abilities to pick themselves up off the ground after encountering challenges.

The City of Nampa’s Public Works Department has seven divisions: Airport, Engineering, Environmental Compliance, Fleet Services, Streets, Wastewater and Waterworks. They are what make our communities great places to live and work. So join us in celebrating these superheroes!

One of the ways we get the community involved in celebrating Public Works Week is by having our annual coloring and drawing contest for Nampa K-12th grade students. The contest will open today, May 11, 2022 and artwork has to be submitted by May 18. Winners will be notified May 20, 2022 and prizes will be awarded!

We want to give a very special thank you to these sponsors that have given to this event! Because of these sponsorships, you could win tickets to Roaring Springs, Discovery Center, Wahooz, Pyrrhic Tactical Sports, Birds of Prey, or Harward Rec Center!
