Phase I

Wastewater Division Phase I Upgrade

The first phase of the upgrades will require making improvements to the City's treatment plant in the near future to meet new permit requirements.

The first phase of improvements will cost approximately $28 million and include adding:

  • New aeration basins for biological phosphorus removal
  • New primary effluent pump station to move water to new aeration basin
  • New digester to manage increased volumes of biosolids
  • New biosolids handling facility

In order to meet new permit requirements, the City will begin designing the first phase of upgrades to Nampa's wastewater treatment plant this summer.

During Phase One, the City will continue to evaluate long-term upgrade options for how to best meet future permitrequirements.
