On-Line Citizen Access Portal (CAP)

With the implementation of the new permitting software EnerGov, we have been experiencing problems with the on-line payment notifications and scheduling of inspections for the permits that are showing on-line as pending. The software vendor and our IT department are working diligently on fixing the problems. 

Your patience is greatly appreciated and if you are not sure of the status of your permit or inspections please give us a call at 468-5435 and for inspections please call our inspection line at 468-5404 until we can get this issue corrected. 

The City of Nampa Building Department is pleased to provide our new Citizen Access Portal (CAP), which allows registered contractors to apply and pay for:

  • Mechanical Permits
  • Electrical Permits
  • Plumbing Permits

And to request inspections.

  • Our policy for a 7-day deferred payment of permit fees has changed.  All permits now require payment in full prior to issuance of permit and inspection requests.

  • The Citizen Access Portal (CAP) will be expanded to include Building Permits, Engineering Right-of-Way (ROW) Permits, Erosion Permits and Planning Applications starting in the Fall of 2016.  Stay tuned.
