Employment Information
Nampa Fire Department tests every year in March to establish an Eligibility Roster. The date of the test will be posted on the City of Nampa's Human Resources page, along with a list of the requirements and job duty descriptions.
The City of Nampa will post a notice that the Fire Department is accepting applications to establish an Eligibility Roster for hiring.  You can see the listings (if available) HERE.
Applications for positions are handled by the City of Nampa Human Resources Office. The Fire Chief & the HR Director may close the application period at any time the determination is made that a sufficient number of applications have been received to establish an eligibility roster. The eligibility roster will remain in effect until deemed otherwise by the Fire Chief & HR Director.

Applications on file will be reviewed & qualified candidates will be identified. Only those qualified applicants will be invited to proceed further in the selection process.

Qualified candidates will be invited to a take a written test.

A $25 testing fee must be paid before the testing date.

Applicants must present picture identification at the time the tests are administered.
Applicants who achieve a score which places them in the top 25 of those taking the test will be allowed to proceed to the Candidate Physical Agility Testing (CPAT).

The CPAT is a pass/fail test.  Those applicants who pass the CPAT, will be scheduled for an oral board interview.  Typically the CPAT testing and the oral board interview are done on the same day.
