Message from Republic Services:
Ada and Canyon County residential trash and recycling customers - service for the week of January 23, 2017 will be as follows:

  1. ALLEY CUSTOMERS: If your residence receives alley service please continue to place your trash and recycling as close to the street as possible through January 27th. Many carts and cans are still frozen in the alley or are on icy surfaces and cannot be moved to the street for service. That is okay. Trash will continue to be accepted in plastic bags and recycling will continue to be accepted in large paper leaf bags and boxes (not to exceed 35 lbs./each).
  2. CUL-DE-SAC CUSTOMERS: If your residence is on a plowed cul-de-sac, regular service will resume. If your cul-de-sac was not plowed last week and is still too dangerous to navigate, place your trash and recycling at the closest plowed street for collection. Always make sure your carts are on the street-side of plowed snow berms so the driver and truck can reach them.
  3. TRASH AND RECYCLING PLACEMENT: Drivers will be collecting trash and recycling in carts, cans and bags through January 27th (not to exceed 35 lbs./each). Place materials as close to the street as possible. Trash and recycling behind snow berms or on top of snow covered sidewalks will not be collected.
  4. CHRISTMAS TREES: If your Christmas tree has not been collected, please leave it in a visible and accessible location. We will be collecting trees through the last week of January.
  5. If you are a customer with Friday service and your recycling was not collected by Saturday, your materials will be collected Monday morning before regular weekly service begins.
  6. Please contact our office (208-345-1265) if you have specific needs not addressed by these instructions.

Thank you,

Rachele Klein

By adding a tax-deductible donation to your bimonthly city utility bill, you can help someone less fortunate pay their water and sewer bill. 100% of your donation will be used to help those in need.
