About
The Nampa Planning & Zoning Commission is a group of citizens appointed by the City Council to research, survey, analyze, and make recommendations on current and long range land development policies, area of city impact identification, resource management, implementing ordinances and administrative decisions such as subdivision plats, rezone requests, conditional use permits, zoning ordinance amendments, and annexations. The Commission functions as a fact finding and advisory board to the elected officials, but its main function is to recommend a comprehensive plan and implementing measures to be adopted by the City Council. The Commission consists of 9 members appointed for 6-year rotating terms. Each year appointments are made to fill the positions of retiring commissioners.

The Nampa Planning & Zoning Commission meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Nampa City Hall. Advertised public hearings begin at 7:00 pm.
