Columbia High School (301 S Happy Valley Rd, Nampa, ID 83687)Mayor Debbie Kling invites the community to Nampa’s State of the City on Tues., April 17, 2018 from 4-5:00 p.m. at Columbia High School. In her first official State of the City as Nampa’s newly elected mayor, Kling will celebrate with the theme “We Are Nampa.”
The address will include participation from several community groups including the dancing group Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo Idaho!, local middle school choirs and high school cheerleaders. The Nampa Police Department and Nampa Fire Department Honor Guards will be presenting the colors jointly for the first time.
Immediately following the address, the community is invited to a reception with appetizers prepared by students of the Nampa School District culinary arts program from 5-6:00 p.m. as well as light entertainment by the NNU Jazz Band. The cost of the reception will be $5 and the deadline to rsvp is Wed., April 11 online at www.cityofnampa.us/soc. There is no cost to attend the address, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Mayor Kling is excited to host the State of the City at Columbia High School and said, “We need not forget that every decision we make today will impact the next generation. That said, the State of the City is about our entire community, including our local school districts, the business community, and every individual and family that lives in Nampa.”
