The city of Nampa will shut down its irrigation system Friday, Oct 6 to coincide with Pioneer Irrigation District’s Oct. 6 shut-off.

Pioneer Irrigation is one of three providers for most Nampa’s irrigation water. The Nampa-Meridian Irrigation District ends its season Oct. 11 and Boise-Kuna will wrap up Oct. 16.

The Nampa Waterworks Division reminds individuals and companies blowing out sprinkler lines that the city valve should not be turned off. The keyed turnoff is for city emergency use only.
