11th Avenue North/Industrial Road intersection to close for extended period

11th Industrial Road Closures Detour Map

The city of Nampa will close the intersection of 11th Avenue North and Industrial Road for up to 10 weeks beginning July 21. North Sugar Street will also be closed at 11th Avenue North. There will be no access to the intersection and traffic will be detoured around the closure. See attached map for suggested detour routes.

“Closing the intersection is necessary to complete construction activities such as borings, rebuilding the railroad crossings, and placement of upgraded storm drains and waterlines. We can’t finish the project without the closure so we thank the public for their patience,” said Jeff Barnes, city of Nampa project manager.

The $2 million project will reconstruct:

  • 11th Avenue North from Stampede Drive to north of the railroad tracks
  • Industrial Road from North 20th Street to 11th Avenue Extension
  • North 20th Street from Industrial Avenue to the end of North 20th

The city is installing pedestrian ramps, filling in sections of missing sidewalk, and widening roadway shoulders to accommodate bicycle lanes. The long closure is needed to safely complete the more complex project elements including railroad crossings, drainage and waterlines.

For more information on the project and schedule, visit the city’s project webpage at If you have questions, please call 465-2221 or email
